Queen Mary has a long, proud and distinctive history built on four historic institutions stretching back to 1785 and beyond. Our founding institutions are: St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College, London Hospital Medical College, Westfield College and Queen Mary College.

Most of our postgraduate students are based in Mile End, which is set alongside the green and peaceful Regent’s Canal. Law students study at Lincoln’s Inn Fields campus, part of London’s historic legal centre. Medicine and Dentistry students are based at our Whitechapel, West Smithfield and Charterhouse Square campuses.’
